Pastoral Support
The school pastoral system ensures that every child has an identified adult who has specific responsibility for them in school and who liaises closely with home. We call this person the student’s Head of House.
Heads of House are responsible for the pastoral care of all students in their ‘House’ (Douglas, Home or Scott). They are supported in their work by Pastoral Support Assistants (PSAs).
Heads of House also work closely with external partners and agencies, including Educational Psychologists, Social Work, and Skills Development Scotland.
Heads of House teach have a small teaching commitment, delivering lessons as part of our Health & Wellbeing curriculum.
